The Eastern Art Gallery has
taken on the task of presenting works by contemporary artists from
Eastern Europe, especially from the Ukraine and Russia, to Western
Europe. The Eastern Art Gallery sees itself as a connecting link between
Eastern European artists and Western Europeans interested in art,
and as a platform for the promotion of works by artists from Eastern
European countries.
After a long phase of taboos and artistic restrictions, Eastern
European art has made a transition into a new dimension which, for
over a decade, has been characterized by the criteria of artistic
values, originality, and quality. The Eastern Art Gallery would
like to introduce the creative work of artists who, for the most
part, are unknown here, and to contribute to the presentation of
the lively art scene of Eastern Europe to a new audience. |
